1. Who we are
ECAM Trade LLC (“ECAM Trade”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. Our headquarters is in Wayne, NJ 07470, United States, at 83 Bowfell Ct, and we operate regional hub offices in Istanbul, Turkey and Yiwu, China.
For any question about this policy, or to exercise a right described in section 8, write to info@ecamtrade.com.
2. What this site collects
This website has no cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking of any kind. Nothing is written to your browser's storage. There are exactly two ways information reaches us:
Information you submit deliberately
When you send the contact form or request a quote, we receive the fields you filled in:
- Your name and the company you represent
- Your business email address, and your phone or WhatsApp number if you supply one
- The inquiry category and estimated volume you selected
- The project details you wrote in the message field
Every field is optional except the ones marked required, and required fields are limited to what we genuinely need to reply. Please do not include sensitive personal information, trade secrets or third-party confidential material in a first message.
Information your browser sends automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server logs — IP address, timestamp, the page requested, referring page and browser user-agent — for security and operational purposes. This is ordinary web-server activity and is not linked to the inquiry forms.
3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To answer your inquiry and prepare a quote
- This is the entire purpose of the form. Under the UK/EU GDPR the basis is performance of, or steps taken at your request prior to entering into, a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
- To follow up on an active commercial discussion
- If you have asked us for a quote, we may contact you about that quote. Our legitimate interest in responding to a request we were sent (Article 6(1)(f)).
- To keep the site secure and available
- Server logs and spam filtering — legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
- To meet legal, customs and export-control obligations
- Where a transaction proceeds, records we are required to keep — legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)). See our Trade Compliance page.
We do not send unsolicited marketing. We do not sell, rent or trade contact data, and we do not add form submissions to a marketing list.
4. Who else processes it
We keep the list of third parties deliberately short. Each acts as a processor on our instructions, or as an independent controller where noted:
- Our email and website hosting providers — store the resulting correspondence and serve these pages.
- Google Fonts — this site loads two typefaces from Google's servers, which means your IP address is disclosed to Google when a page loads. Google acts as an independent controller for that request.
Where a quote proceeds to a real sourcing project, we will also share what is necessary with the specific manufacturers, inspection agencies, freight forwarders and customs brokers involved in your order — and only what those parties need.
5. International transfers
We are a cross-border sourcing business, so information travels. Our own operations span the United States, Turkey and China, and the providers above process data in the United States. Where personal data originating in the UK or EEA is transferred outside it, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision. You can ask us for details of the safeguards applied to a specific transfer.
6. How long we keep it
- Inquiries that do not become projects — retained for up to 24 months from the last contact, then deleted.
- Active client and supplier relationships — retained for the life of the relationship.
- Transaction, customs and export-control records — retained for the period the relevant law requires, which for US export records is generally five years from the date of export.
- Server logs — retained for a short operational period only.
7. Security
This site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to inquiry correspondence is limited to the ECAM Trade personnel who need it to respond. No system is perfectly secure, but we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority as required by law if a breach affects your data.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where consent was the basis. If you are in the UK or EEA you also have the right to complain to your national supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident, you have the rights to know, delete and correct under the CCPA/CPRA, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in that law.
To exercise any of these, email info@ecamtrade.com. We respond within one month and will not charge you for a reasonable request.
9. Children
This is a business site with no consumer offering. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes affecting people who have already contacted us will be communicated directly where we hold an address for that purpose.
